1. early days

Born in India and raised in the UAE, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing a richly diverse upbringing. As a child, I was known as the mischievous one—taking apart remotes and even flushing phones down toilets. While it may have seemed like trouble at the time, I like to think of those moments as the first steps toward my future in aerospace engineering.

2. Academic journey

Academic

My education journey began with the ICSE curriculum in India, where I quickly realized that it emphasized memorization over true understanding—an approach I disliked. I’ve always been more focused on grasping concepts and asking deeper questions, often ones my teachers couldn’t answer. I soon discovered that hands-on learning suited me better. Seeking a more holistic approach, I transitioned to the IB curriculum. While I appreciated its challenges, something about the structure still felt somewhat restrictive.

3. College life

Choosing ASU was an easy decision. The warm weather and diverse student body drew me in, but college itself felt like my true calling. No more uniforms or rigid expectations—I could finally be myself. For the first time, my curiosity was encouraged, and I thrived in an environment where asking questions was welcomed. Now in my senior year, earning a degree in aerospace engineering, I’ve learned that engineering is as much about creativity as science. Embracing failure has been key to my growth and progress.
